Our Favorite Comfort Food This Winter

Our Favorite Comfort Food This Winter

As the weather cools down, the seasons turn and it becomes darker and wetter here in the Pacific Northwest, we come to crave certain foods. One may call them comfort foods, the food that makes us feel like home and makes us feel warm and cozy on the cold dark days. The holiday season can bring us familiar cravings for hearty, warm comfort food that reminds us of home. Here at 112th Street Diner you can get your cravings fixed by ordering some of our comfort food from our menu.

The following are some of the menu items we find bring us comfort during the winter season.

Meatlovers Giant Omelette – Found on our All Day Breakfast menu, the Meatlovers Omelette gives you that warm homey feeling at any point of the day. This egg omelette contains bacon, ham, sausage and Cheddar cheese. A giant omelette, potentially more delicious than your family made it.

8 oz. Country-Fried Steak & Three Eggs – On our Special Features menu but available all day is our Country-Fried Steak and Eggs. Our fried steak is served with country sausage gravy, hash browns, toast and of course three eggs any way you’d like. If you were lucky enough to eat country fried steak at home, how could you not want to relieve that delicious food memory.

Country Benedict – From our Benedict menu comes the comforting Country Benedict. It features two sausage patties and two poached eggs atop a toasted English muffin, with country sausage gravy. We believe this is the most comforting of all our Benedicts, but there’s more where this came from.

Two Grilled Pork Chops –  Lest we forget, from our dinner menu are two grilled pork chops with applesauce. Might not exactly be just how your mother made them, they’re better and definitely a real Comfort Food!

In addition to our All Day Breakfast menu, we also offer deluxe burgers, soups, salads, and pasta options, plus our homemade desserts. We invite you to dine with us in our fifties-inspired diner in Everett, WA where everyone is treated like family. At 112th Street Diner all of our food is cooked with superior attention to detail using local ingredients. Our lunch menu is served from 11 am until 3 pm, and dinner is available from 3 pm to 8 pm. You can also call in your order for takeout or local delivery. We look forward to serving you soon!
